Chris Clay a.k.a. DJ Claymation Whether you experience Claymation’s Dj sets in a packed club with half naked bodies pulsating and gyrating around you in the thick vibe, or at a park on that sunny afternoon with kids and families all getting down to the funky rhythms together in unison, or at your local Club/Bar on a Thursday night, its always guaranteed that you will have the biggest smile on your face after dancing to his music. Although he started off his night time career playing themed Disco/Funk and 80’s parties in the early 90's, Chris used his experience at the local Radio Station (KUBE 93 FM) to hone his DJ’ing skills. Chris would be part of various nighttime gatherings for friends in bars and night clubs, leading their nights with swooning tunes and industrial beats. As the music progressed, so would Chris’s attraction to what would lead to an even bigger movement, Electronic Music. In the Late 90's, Chris became involved with promotion alongside his frequent Dj gigs. Amongst some of the Seattle Area greats, such as Timmy Boy, Smoove, DJ wateva, Big Mike, Chris would help put on club nights, and raves in their beginning stages, when the underground was at its strongest. While his DJ sets are mostly considered deep house, they are not limited to just the deep sound. Chris has a special flair for bringing together a multitude of genres which can include tribal rhythms, tech-house, Latin textures, classic rock, or even a mind awakening spoken word. Let’s not forget his beginnings of Disco/Funk and 80’s styles. Chris’s motto of quality not quantity, stands him in good stead with some superb labels. Welcome to DJ Claymation. After a one Year tour of Asia dancing my feet off on stage, and being a guest DJ in some of the hottest Hip-Hop, and Hardcore House clubs I have ever seen, I'm back in New York. I’m doin one nighters till I find a DJ home. I’ve Played clubs internationally including Korea, China, and London. Nationally Seattle, North Hollywood, and the Famous Wichita Kansas..
